THE SWISS SUSTAINABLE TOURISM PROGRAMME AND GREAT GIFT TO FOOTPRINT

As one of the first sustainable travel companies in Vietnam, Footprint Travel always understands that the World will be better by making travel about the people we meet and not just the places we see. The Swiss Sustainable Tourism Programme (SSTP) has accompanied Footprint Travel for many years to remain our core value in sustainability.  

To raise sustainable tourism awareness, SSTP opens training courses, coaching workshops, and class sessions for people from travel companies. The Footprint team never misses any chance to enrich our knowledge by joining these courses, they help us to cover important basic principles, practical applications, new products, and more. The program comprises sub-projects that are built in conformity with the private sector’s demand as well as the cooperation of seven training establishments in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang city, Can Tho city, and Ninh Binh, Quang Nam, and An Giang province. Looking forward to the next training in 2021!

Sustainable Product Development training course on 8th Jan 2021

We are thrilled to have SSTP spiritual and material support as a part of sustainable tourism in Vietnam. By donating to our new project – Fcamp, SSTP helps to secure the livelihoods of the population in tourist destinations – Pu Luong, Thanh Hoa province. We are happy to inspect trip sponsorship for teachers to Don Village, Pu Luong in April 2021. Our Fcamp project was established for Vietnamese school students to learn how to travel responsibly, and raise their awareness about respecting traditional cultural differences and protecting the natural environment. The project partially not only tries to improve local community economic conditions and protect the environment but also helps to promote initiatives and new ideas for a balanced cultural exchange between tourists and locals.

Besides, Footprint is preparing a social media marketing strategy with SSTP support to increase our brands’ awareness, and motivate young explorers to travel sustainably. We are providing various travel products with many activities in different parts of the destination, so the campers can discover their ability, and develop soft skills.

Through SSTP donation we have been able to accomplish our core value in sustainable tourism and continue working towards improving the competitiveness of the tourism sector through promoting sustainable tourism practices and delivering a quality executive education program, and local-based community support.
