It’s quite common for those coming to Hanoi to experience the sites inside the city such as Ho Chi Minh complex, temple of literature, museum of ethnology and so on… but these sites are becoming touristy and there have been hundreds of travellers visiting them daily, which made the atmosphere at these sites to be not a visit but a hustle, we at Footprint wish that there were some sort of capacity limit on each day or time of the visit so that our visitors do not have to face these issues.
In early 2014, Footprint decided to propose a new itinerary to Hanoi for our visitors, which is to visit the ancient village just right next to Hanoi city, it’s just about 15 min drive from the city center, you will be able to experience the real life of Hanoian with interesting culture and history.
This project has been in co-operation with RTC Vietnam, the responsible travel club of Vietnam, which comprises of more than travel companies seeking to develop responsible tourism throughout Vietnam.
Footprint and RTC have made quite a lots of investment in to the village to improve the quality of the local service to make the trip more comfortable for our guests, and we also invest in training the local guides to make sure the visitors have a wow on Vietnamese culture, history and customs.
