Year-End Roundup

Lunar New Year is fast approaching. A new year signifies a refresh start, a new beginning. In that spirit, we want to take a moment to show grateful to 2016 and welcome the new year with our families and friends. Within two weeks, there have been 2 super parties from RTC and Footprint.

This year in rtc’s year end party, we have seen not only existing members but also many newly joined members. Looking back at a successful year of RTC, Thuy Duong, the current president said “RTC has developed a stronger voice with Vietnam National Administration of Tourism which allows small and medium sized companies to be more influential on government policies and action.”

RTC’s members have also granted access to all the benefits such as financial subsidy from GIZ on stand construction at ITB - international travel trade show or, opportunity to technical training on regional product development from “support to the initiative for ASEAN Integration” project of GIZ.

Son – RTC’s founder announced the 3 year mission which is to focus on improve the competence of the members. This can done by 3 approaches to sustainable business ecosystem: issuing the sustainable criteria for RTC’s member, keeping members up to date with tourism news, products, etc. and improving the expertise of young tour guides.

Social drink has been served as an event for professionals from tourism industry to socially and professionally network as well as develop business collaboration. Today new members was introduced and this was where icebreakers can get things moving and encourage interaction.

Footprint travel team also spent sometimes to reflect one year performance, to honor outstanding individuals, to help motivate and inspire everyone to change. We even delivered some funny awards in hope that there will be some improvement next years. Next year probably the 2016's quietest person will be the loudest, or the person who sit the most will be the most active person.

All of our families, friends, guides, and drivers were gathered to wish each other good fortune and good health for the coming year. At the end, we left with bellies full of laughs and good foods.
