positive actions towards responsible travel

Choosing Footprint means that you will travel with comfort and ease, as well as travel responsibly. It is important to know that we will be doing all the work in terms of being environmentally friendly and socially conscious. We have done this through our tour offerings, deep connections with host communities, and sustainable choices.

Footprint’s attention on responsible travel has evolved out of concern for the future generations of Vietnam. We believe that responsible travel aims to protect the environment and to respect people, their communities, and their cultures. We believe in sharing tourism’s benefits and minimizing its negative impacts.

Over the years we have worked with several communities and organizations to achieve our responsible travel goals. Our achievement of Travelife Certified* in 2016 has shown our commitment to sustainable travel. Since 2007, Travelife works to create a more sustainable environment in the tourism industry by setting sustainable benchmarks for its members. Not only did we manage to apply Travelifes’ detailed rules in a country that still needs improvement in sustainability, but we are also the first Vietnamese-owned tour operator achieving a sustainability certificate.

We were Travelife Certified from 10 March 2016 till 31 July 2020, and now working towards renewal.

If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions with regard to our responsible tourism approach, please feel free to email us at rt@footprint.vn.
