Sustainable Growth and Recognition:

Hanoi’s commitment to sustainable growth in rural tourism is evident through its recognition of OCOP (One Commune One Product) products. Already, two products have been rated 4 stars in the categories of community-based tourism services, eco-tourism, and tourist sites. Additionally, 7 tourist sites in suburban areas, associated with agriculture, rural life, craft villages, and ecological tourism, have been officially recognized.

Embracing the Future:
To capitalize on the strengths and potentials of each area, Hanoi actively encourages the development of novel and unique products based on local strengths. The focus is on community-based tourism, eco-tourism, and traditional crafts. By fostering partnerships with farmers, cooperatives, households, and enterprises, Hanoi seeks to create agricultural and rural tourism linkage chains that empower local communities and ensure sustainable practices.

Setting Ambitious Goals:
Hanoi has set ambitious goals for the growth of agricultural and rural tourism products. By 2025, each district and town with potential for development is targeted to present at least 1 to 3 products of “Community tourism services and tourist attractions.” The city aims to have at least 50% of these products protected by intellectual property rights and recognized by OCOP with 3 stars or higher standards.

From farming experiences to cultural exchanges, from ancient villages to sustainable growth, Hanoi’s countryside promises a unique and unforgettable adventure.
